Microsoft Upgrades
gives you the Answers you need as you consider your options.
- When Microsoft XP or Vista is installed, Windows Update is automatically installed. If you have a DSL or Broadband connection, your operating system will be automatically updated with critical updates. This is a very important feature which protects your computer and improves the functionality of your program. You can disable it, but we strongly suggest you keep this feature! An example of an important update would be the change in Daylight Savings Time. This update was added automatically with Windows Update. A dial-up connection is not fast enough for this feature to function properly.
You also can add the option of Microsoft Updates, which updates your Windows Operating System AND Microsoft Office for versions 2003 or later.
To check for Windows Update or Microsoft Update, Right Click on "My Computer">Left Click on "Properties">Left Click on Auto Updates. Use it!
